One of our pre-built showroom models from 2024. This is an HP Velo Scorpion FS 26 in Cool Grey Metallic. This build comes with a 26 inch rear wheel, all around Schwalbe Smart Sam knobby tires, A single speed 32t gearing in the front, 11 speed gearing in the rear, and an entirely custom built wheel set with 1.75 inch rims, thicker spokes, and color matched blue nipples.

A custom gear set replacing the standard scorpion 3 speed internally geared hub. A simplified single speed gearing up front makes this trike perfect for offroad riding.
11 SPEED - MICROSHIFT BAREND/DEORE REAR DERAILLEUR 11-42 CASSETTE, AND CUSTOM VELOCITY RIM
We upgraded from the standard 10 speed rear gearing to an 11 speed to make up for some of the lost gear range in the front of the trike. The Velocity rim provides a stronger base easily adapted to wider tires, and with reinforced spokes these wheels can take an offroad beating.
Custom Built Wheel Set
To make this custom build even more offroad ready we opted for a custom reinforced wheel set. To achieve this we opted for 1.75 inch wide rims for more stability and a platform for even wider tires.
The spokes are above standard thickness and are reinforced to give more strength to the wheel so it can take a beat offroad.
We upgraded from the Scorpions standard road tires to something with more traction, that being the Schwalbe Smart Sam tires with a size of 20 x 2.35. And for a little more aesthetic charm we color matched the nipples to be a nice blue and really pull the trikes color scheme together.
