We built the Fat Cat D3 with the Catrike Dumont as the base model. The 7005 aluminum frame makes for an overall lighter trike. The D3 combines the off-road capability of the Fat Cat V3 with the sleek and comfortable design of the Catrike Dumont.
The frame is durable and light. The front elastomer-based suspension will mitigate any vibration from your terrain while the rear Rock Shox Monarch Air Shock will cushion any larger bumps you encounter on your ride.
The Fat Cat D3 is a monster both on and off-road. The 20x4-inch knobby tires ride easily over dirt, gravel, sand, grass and snow. Running them at a lower PSI will offer extra traction while riding on the trail. If we're being honest, fat tires make any trike look like a beast and we are thrilled to give the Dumont platform the same treatment.
The Fat Cat D3 includes a rear view mirror and a safety flag. Stock gearing includes the Rohloff 14-speed internal hub and a 1000 watt Bafang Mid-drive up front. Custom options are up to you. Change the gearing, get a custom powdercoat, or add some cool accessories and let us build your unique Fat Cat D3.
