The pack merely weighs 2.5 kg (5.4 lbs.) and it delivers 417Wh of energy (36V, 11.6Ah). The pack has a number of primary as well as secondary protections. The packs use Lithium Ion Rechargeable battery cells from Panasonic (Cell Model NCR18650PD). Typical cell capacity is 2880mAh and minimum cell capacity is 2730mAh. The packs uses 10S4p configuration.

This is the case with every electric bike or a propulsion system in the market. Your investment is only good for 2 years. Thereafter you need to spend thousands of dollars on battery replacement and other parts and that battery replacement may not be available. This is just the battery side of things. Normally there are additional issues of motor, console and wiring. These systems have a number of point of failures.

Enough is Enough! End users must not be put through such an inconvenience.

Falco eliminates all of that. We have ZERO failure points and your investment is never lost. Falco system components are based on an open system philosophy. Battery always works by itself. Motor always works by itself. Motor does not depend on the battery or the console to work. Battery has its own protection and intelligence. Motor has its own protection and intelligence. And then when the components are attached, the system works by itself.

That is why we have designed open system batteries and they are highly reliable. They do not fail if they are not charged for 3 months in a garage like the most expensive eBikes do.

Advanced and Powerful Open Battery Management System: Our batteries are NOT married to our motors. Our batteries have most advanced open system battery management system which keeps the cells well behaved and managed.

No LiFePO4: LiFePO4 batteries are NOT suitable. They fail too often. There are too many charging issues and long term storage is normally harmful to the packs.We use Lithium ion Manganese cells from mature manufacturing lines of Panasonic, Sanyo, LG etc. And combine that with Falco’s proprietary battery management system.

Falco’s BMS dramatically improves cycle life and prevents battery fires and explosions. All Li-ion cells benefit from Falco’s precise battery and pack management technology.

Standard 2-Year Warranty: Falco batteries set the standard for quality and durability. Our combination of high-quality cells and battery management and protection allows us to offer a standard two-year warranty on all of our eBike battery packs.

Features and Benefits: The packs are equipped with the following features and benefits: over current protection, cell balancing temperature protection, over current and temperature protection, 40 Li-ion cells (10s 4p Config.), fast charging ( In-built Falco battery management System (BMS), water-resistant and firm ABS plastic casing.

Operating temperature of the pack is 0 – 45°C (Standard Charge) or 10 – 45°C (Quick Charge). Packs can be used from -20 – 60°C (Standard Discharge). Storage temperatures are -20 – 50°C (1 week), -20 – 45°C (1 month), -20 – 40°C (6 months), -20 – 35°C (1 year). Accessories included with the packs are: adaptor, power chord and locking keys. Rated voltage is 36V. Maxiumum charge voltage is 42.5V. Typical capacity is 9.52Ah, minimum capacity is 8.92Ah. Standard charge current is 1.35A and maximum charge current is 2.2A. Standard discharge current is 10A and maximum continuous discharge current is 15A. Maximum pulse discharge current is 35A for 5 seconds and 20A for 10 seconds. Overcharge Protection is activated at 4.30± 0.025V/cell. 2nd-Level Overcharge Protection is 4.45± 0.025V/cell. Over Discharge Protection is 2.50± 0.025V/cell. Over Current Protection is activated at 40A ± 5A. Short Circuit Current Protection is provided between Out+ /Out- terminals. Temperature Protection is activated at 70°C where charging & discharging are disabled. With a temperature 50°C, charging is disabled. Cell Balancing is activated at 4.18V Balancing Action.

Safety Precautions: Please follow the safety precaution carefully as improper handling of lithium ion batteries may result in injury or damage from electrolyte leakage, heating ignition or explosion. To ensure safety, consult with Falco regarding the charge and discharge specifications, equipment structure, warning labels and other important details when designing equipment to use Falco rechargeable lithium ion batteries.

Never charge the battery above 4.2V/cell.Never reverse charge the battery.Never heat or incinerate the battery.Never pierce, crush or cause mechanical damage to the battery.Never charge a battery at high temperature conditions or near a fire.Never short circuit the battery.Never discharge the battery to below 3.0V per cell Never allow the battery to get wet or be immersed in water. For long periods of storage, temperature should be below 45°C.After long periods of storage, battery may require some cycling to recover capacity.
