When it comes to riding a recumbent trike there's few things in life that are more comfortable. Some times though when the trike is at too reclined of an angle a rider's neck may get sore. That's where head and neck rests come in.
Headrests are parts that attach to the trike. That add support to your neck during long rides. They're a perfect feature for staying relaxed even when the trike is at a stand still.
Many trike brands have their own specific headrest that works for their specific trikes. This makes it so that you can get a headrest that was designed to work perfectly with your trike.
Easy to adjust and very light, the Catrike Neck Rest is a great upgrade to your Catrike. This headrest fits on all Catrike's seat top bar.
Fully adjustable for height and angle, removable padded cover. Very comfortable going up hills especially when the trike is set to a more reclined seat angle. Also a nice feature when relaxing at a standstill.
The new clamps massively reduce the time taken to fit and adjust the Neck Rest. This has been achieved by reducing the amount of assembly components. ICE has also strengthened the clamping system on mesh seats to prevent the clamp from rotating around the seat frame. Both fitting systems allow the height and angle of the neck rest to be adjusted.
The Neck Rest frame is made from a high strength aluminium bar rail that provides a balance of strength and comfort. The uprights are now a standard bike saddle rail width to allow the clamping of standard bike accessories.
The Padding system is now made from two parts. An adjustable tensioning strap that fits around the Neck Rest frame allows the rider to alter the tension and support of the Neck Rest and the Pad.
A headrest is a rather unusual accessory in bikes, but it will turn your recumbent into a true luxury model. Riders who prefer their seat more upright might not need it so much but those who like to recline quite a bit will certainly appreciate it. The Azub headrest is adjustable in height as well as in angle and has a reflective strip on both sides to improve safety.
