Hi. I’m Don. As long as I can remember I have always had Dogs, Cats, and Bikes. Many of the dogs liked coming along on my bike rides. Cats-not so much.
I hurt my back while serving in the Marines. As it deteriorated I was able to walk my dogs less and less. So when my bike was stolen on a family camping trip I upgraded to a recumbent trike. I bought a terra trike and loved it.
This bike not only helped with my back but I was able to hook my dogs up to it and give them a good walk. I could ride as slow as the dogs wanted to go. I could stop as much as the dogs wanted to “to smell the roses” and not fall over.
After 20+ years with this trike I was ready to upgrade to an e-bike. I’m 20+ years older and I need a little more help with my rides. Also during those years I had rolled my bike a few times. I made mistakes in my driving. And I made mistakes in adapting and fixing my bike. So I did more research into a replacement bike that would better suit my needs.
I bought a Revolution eQuad. I love it. I’ve added many things to it. I have a dog leash connected up front. I have a rack on the back which on the top of it is a place for my dog to ride. Underneath is room for gear. Hanging off the back is my ice chest. I also have speakers for music, beverage holder, umbrella, neck pillow, hand sanitizer etc. I have a wagon I can hook up to my bike to haul more stuff or a bigger dog.
I am down to just one dog right now. Anyway I have 2 batteries and if I don’t want to pedal I can still go about twenty miles. If I pedal I can go a lot further. My dog walks about 1-2 miles and then rides for as long as I want to go.
Life is good
- Don
